Middletown Men’s Group visit Saturday 17th 10:30 AM

The Middletown Meeting Men’s Group is on a retreat at Crosslands this weekend, and are hoping to meet with some Kennett Friends to hear about our work and look for ways they can support. I’ll be meeting them at Sickle Street at 10:30 am and would welcome other members to join me if you have time!

Hockessin Friends – Sacred Grounds Potluck and Planting Day

Want to connect with the earth? Help plant a pollinator garden at Hockessin Friends Meeting!

Join us for a potluck meal at 11:45am (you may bring a main or side dish or a dessert). Or come at 12:30pm for the work session.

The garden is a Sacred Grounds project sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation (nwf.org/SacredGrounds).  Hockessin Friends Meeting has scheduled the planting event as part of Peace Week Delaware (peaceweekdelaware.org). There will be a brief introductory presentation about the Sacred Grounds program and the environmental value of creating pollinator patches of native plants. Then there will be about 725-750 plant plugs to install as well as several trees and bushes. We plan to have garden tools available to use, but you may bring your own gloves if you like. Refreshments will also be provided. We expect to finish by about 3:30pm.

Invite a friend to participate as we create a new pollinator space!

RSVP (to friends@hockessinquakermeeting.org) is encouraged but not required. If it rains, we will postpone to October 24 (starting at 12:30pm).

Also, don’t forget that worship this Sunday will be at West Grove Friends ONLY! There is no planned worship or fellowship at Kennett Friends. Thank you!
